Hi,
Before Eduard, there was Fotocut (custom made PE sets such as the ones designed by Steve Zaloga for the M3 Halftrack), Armor Research (using the Fotocut artwork) came at the same time as Mark Persichetti's On the Mark Models sets. The Show Modeling started trickling into the US after that at the same time as Top Brass from England and the first (rather skimpy by comparison) sets from Eduard. Eduard was followed by Verlinden Productions, Airwaves, ExtraTech, MB Models, Todo Modelismo (Spanish magazine bonus for subscribers), then Aber, then Part.
I am sure I am missing a few but this is from the top of my head as I have bought and used these brands.
