I'm sort of in the middle on this topic. I really love all the brass stuff but it comes at a price....not dollars, but time. One has to choose sometimes with detailing the entire kit with all those sometimes impossible small parts while building the model. I mean time has to be figured into all of this. Lets say you are a brassaholic like me and every kit you buy has to have it or it's nothing. Now I realize that I will never be able to build all the models I want before something finally makes me quit...eyes sight, the steady hand, the things we all know will happen someday. So I have decided to use brass now in moderation. I don't have a "Need" to put every nut and bolt on the kit. Honestly unless the model has in progress photos sometimes you really can't tell a difference. Maybe my eyesight has already started to cause me problems eh. Anyway, the models that I saw at the last AMPS that had brass were just as nice as the ones that didn't. The older I get I think I will use less and less brass just so I can build more and more models before I turn to dust. Brass products while really cool can cause one NOT to want to build the model. Say I get a panther kit. Get the aber superset, Fruil tracks, interior set. ALL that work, man it's just overwhelming sometimes. So back on the shelve it goes, maybe on ebay. Time will only tell.

Mike
