I too have fond memories of buying and building Airfix kits as a kid, and was always eagerly/excitidly awaiting the chance to buy a new kit.
This generally meant the school holidays, and biking into town to the model shop, or the local hobby shop when away on holiday, then the perusal of available kits and the decision........!
I still buy Airfix 1/72 military vehicles, almost all for conversion.
Mostly the RAF truck kits, but I do have to admit to being wary of what I pay, as yes they are old moulds, and the quallity isn't up to the asking price at times! |
