I prefer the lighter colors of plastic.

As an added note, the darker colors used in some models indicate a re-formulated or a high mix of regrind in the feed stock. Regrind is the left over or rejected sprues which are re-ground and added back to the virgin material at a recommended ratio pof 80/20.

Too much regrind added to the mix causes the injected parts to de-laminate and become brittle. A common problem I find with AFV models. Also note the difference in Italeri kits from the original tan color vs the later green colored plastic.

Why use regrind? To lower the cost of the shot. Most injection molding is farmed out to sub-contractors and the lowest bidder gets the job! I was a Project Mgr for an injection molding company and have lost the bidding for as little as .003 cents per part!
