Hi Adrian,
Here in Singapore, the min amount to maintain a bank account is $500 or they will impose an admin fee of $2.00 every month. Some bank accounts here are attached to what is known as "Ready Cash" - a credit Overdraft.

I used to work in a bank. I applied for my bank's credit card and specifically asked that they set my card limit to $1,000 max.... This card is strictly for online usage only...... i seriously doubt i would spend $1,000 on models in one day......

I have other cards that have higher credit limit by never once have i used it online.....

So, that could be a way to solve some online buying phobia....
