I've taken a little time to respond here becasue this has had me thinking. There are so many aspects of the model that are important to result in a satisfying build, but I guess bottom line I would have to agree with Glenn, Tracks. Fisrt glance at a model tank always leads my eyes to the tracks. A really nice job of building and weathering can be spoiled by poor tracks. This has actually had an impact on my model buying. I used to be the get whatever I can cheap on Ebay type. But common sense has started to kick in a bit. If you pay $10-15 for a cheap kit on Ebay, then have to buy a set of tracks as well the price is not so good. Then, if you also have to pick up a set of PE screens, your probably at this point in for more money than if you bought a nice kit that already had these, like many of the DML kits. These have always had at least passable tracks, and now much better, not to mention screens and sometimes metal barrels. Plus, usually you have a much better base model to boot. I used to avoid them because they were so "expensive". They are looking pretty good now. I may be slow, but at least I dont catch on quick.
