I have always been hesitant to reply to threads of this nature lest I jinx myself. In 16 years of modeling I have endured two curious cats padding cautiously over and around multiple model projects on the dining room table--no problem. I've enjoyed the loyalty of a dog who would actually find parts for me that landed on the floor, without chomping on the pieces. My children learned early to respect my "personal space" and still retain all their fingers. My wife--well, she accidentally decapitated a figure in the midst of some intense pre-Christmas housecleaning (she did not expect to find the German army in the china hutch). But in the spirit of the holiday and the hopes of finding a treat in her Christmas stockings later that evening, I quickly forgave her.

However, just a couple weeks ago a combination of lousy AFV Club directions and adult-onset ADD caused me to misread the placement of the inner hubs of the front drive sprockets on the M40. I didn't notice the problem until the next evening. I was able to push them out without too much damage and insert them into the correct side, but in the process I snapped off both of the axle pins that connect the wheels to the final drive. Since the ability to turn the wheels only factors into easing the track onto the suspension, it's no big deal.

But that, my friends, is my only real horror story.

Knock on wood!

Tim
