I agree with you, with the exception of the Char B I haven't seen much of the kits your speaking of.

I find that though the Dragon kits are marvelous, they are quite daunting. The Tamiya stuff by contrast has less parts and are very buildable. I have more dragon kits in various stages of completion than any other manufaturer. I'm a new father and my time is at a premium, I loose interest when a single Sherman bogey of over 25 parts takes over an hour to assemble. I realize that some love this aspect of Dragon kits, yes they are exceptionally accurate but how many are completed?

I have been taking note at all the shows I've been to, I'd say 75% of the models are Tamiya. Maybe because with these kits you can visualize its completion.

I love the painting and weathering stages of modelling, if I don't complete the model to get there, whats the point.
