Hi Paul,
As your site is visited by people from all over the world and new kits are not available all over the world at the same time, I think there's no such thing as an optimal moment for reviews. Perhaps there's an optimal review moment for your Asian, American or European audience, but never for all of them.
Here in the Netherlands I still can't get Dragon kits that I've not just seen reviewed but alllready build by more lucky fellow modellers.
Personally I think the earlier the review the better, for that means that when the kit finally comes available there's often allready been a discussion on the pros, cons and omissions/faults of it. Some kits get more attention, that's true. But regarding the M2 and the Tasca Firefly I think that to be logical. We've allmost all done a Firefly one way or another, but the M2 kit is realy 'new'. And 'new' is more interesting then 'better'.
