My humble opinion on this:
I read most reviews, though I am not buying most of them. These reviews actually give me good advice so if I really like one particular model I come back later and it would definitely give me an idea wether to buy it or not. Sometimes I find something interesting on eBay and the good source to help me decide to get it or not is the review... even if it is 5 years old.
I have a ton of kits to build, but iterestingly, if your review is as consistent as all the previous ones, well, it may help me decide in a future.
I think lack of comments doesn't mean lack of interest, at least, immediate interest.
