My top three are:
Tasca Firefly
Tamiya Char B
DML M4A3E8 Thunderbolt VII
1 Tasca Firefly: Gets points for being a Sherman, points for being an effective AFV and points for being (apparently) engineered like a NASA space vehicle.
2 Tamiya Char B: Points for interesting subject, although it's mostly a novelty to me. Points for meticulous engineering and nice buildable tracks.
3 DML Thunderbolt: Gets Sherman points, more points for being the apex of Sherman development (rarely kitted, quite odd). While well engineered, this kit does not appear to be on par with Tamiya or Tasca.
Oddly, or perhaps not, I am rating 1 and 2 on reputation, while I have several of number 3. I have less patience for sloppily engineered kits these days. As there are fewer gaps in our 1/35 arsenal, the better building kit is going to be first choice.
