The problem is not DML's taking issue with Terry's reviews, but their lying about what he said in his reviews and hiding their errors behind a mountain (well, noticeable mound) of irrelevant images and information. They're almost as dishonest about Terry's reviews as the cretionism/intelligent design crowd are about the views of any legitimate scientist.
DML has got so obsessed with being first to market that they'll slap almost anything together and call it a kit. Like the SdKfz 251s and PzKpfw IVs, they'll correct but not admit small errors as they go along and ignore what's too troublesome to fix, so we modelers seldom know what level of accuracy we're getting until our money is in their hands. DML's PzKpfw IVs have even managed to screw up things they got right years ago when they started the series. How much more "profit before quality" can they get?!
I still buy DML when it is on sale and I know, from reviews like Terry's, what the level of quality is, but DML kits have been off my "must have" list for over a year, and many of what I do have are just parts donors for better basic quality kits from AFV Club and the like.
Those who want to buy the latest DML first step on the road to getteing it right are welcomed to do so; I'll wait until Terry's review comes out to see if it's easier to correct, say, Italeri kits - just for example.
