Charlie,

These images did one thing very well. They inspired the kids who have taken the hobby to the level it is today. I love box art. I may no longer purcase a kit on it's strength though.
About 20 years ago a modeler in DC was selling his armor collection that filled a den and another room. Several members of the old Baltimore Military Modelers visited him to clean up. As money was flying all over he asked if anyone was interested in old box art going back to the earliest plastic kits.
I took home large pannels from Bandia, Tamiya and othermakers I'll never figure out. Still great stuff.
Charlie, I've attached that 109 photo for you. I can still remember this box from around 1963.
