Hi All,
As a frequent visitor to Japanese Hobby Shops, the photo above didn't show the main point of going to Japan, the prices for Japanese made kits are less there than here. Most places (like Sakura in Shinjuku) have a 10%-30% discount on all kits.

Some places like Hobby Shop Kunske in Osaka, there are sime very RAre kits in there, like Tamiya's metal kit of the US 75mm Pack(?) Howitzer at collector's prices.

And the tool selection is fantastic! Only one place here in Hawaii has a tool selection close to this.

And in some places, they have very interesting displays, like this wooded 1/6 scale PzIII:

Also, I have yet to find a shop in Hawaii or any other place in the world, having visited shops in Europe (Italy, France, Switzerland), the US (Califonia only so far), Asia (Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Guandoung), that has beautiful women behind the counter!

Anyway, my point is, I love the hobby shops in Japan. Best of all the places I have ever visited.

Aloha,
Val
