I was just wondering if anyone else who frequents their local hobby shop ever gets badgered or gets a sob story from the store owners when they are buying something, even if its just paint or glue?

For example, a local shop has an armor club meeting during the week after hours. I was in there and just picked up some glue that I needed and as I was getting checked out the owner was complaining about how bad business was...and this is a constant thing month to month. I almost feel like that I'm supposed to spend more money or something while I'm there. Its not like I don't buy a kit from him once in a while, but also don't expect me to be doing that on a monthly basis either.I also appreciate that he has the shop open up for us after hours, but at the same time I don't want to be looked at as a guaranteed income stream every month when I come in...I have my own bills I need to pay myself and that sometimes means I don't have the money to spend on a new kit from him. It gets frustrating, and other people I know at the meeting feel the same way at times. I was wondering if anyone else has run across this where they shop at?
