Hi Brian,
As the owner of 5 Italeri 234 kits with all the AM stuff (as an example), I will use them as donors for parts, nuts, bolts, interior bits, etc.
They are perfect to use the new paints, pyrogravure zimmerit technique, as well as reviewing the putties, and zimmerit rollers without dealing with a new model I wish to keep.
Some may even challenge themselves to bring a kit from the Dog Pound out to today's standard! Seen the 1970s Tamiya Jagdpanther blog? I gotta respect that...
