Subject:  Even better idea: Donate to troops overseasList thread.

 Date:  May 16, 2007
 From:  Danny Egan
To all my fellow armor modelers: we are appealing to you all to donate kits and modeling supplies to US service members serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. These folks have few opportunities to ease some of the pressure they are under, and we can help them out. A trusted system for donating kits and supplies exists; several AMPS and IPMS chapters have already sent a lot of things overseas.

We don't care about your politics. This is a way to ease the crushing pressure and boredom that these men and women are facing. They have received some generous donations but have asked for more armor models and modeling supplies.

We're asking that you donate one or more of those extra kits you may have around, or a bottle of paint, a brush, a knife - whatever you can spare. We will pack donations and ship them in bulk to a military contact overseas. Please take a look and, if you feel you can contribute, please do your part.

Thank you all.

The details of the appeal and directions on how to donate are at:
