What do I do with my outdated kits? Most have been sold off on Ebay (which was where I got them in the first place). I have kept some, and those.... I vigorusly defend from my 5 year old who would love to get them to play with. I fully intend to build whats left some day. He may be my age by then though.
Due to my budget (or lack there of) I was sort of locked into the lower quality models that I could pick up on Ebay fairly cheaply. However my stash grew to the point that I realized I could have purchased the "better" kits, just fewer. Therefore I becan selling off duplicates and stuff I figured I would never want to use my scant modeling time on. I also sold off my built models which were just collecting dust anyway. I took these funds and bought some of the real bells and whistles type of kits.... which I have not had time to build yet. Every now and then I open up the cabinet doors (after moving all the stuff I pile up against them so the wife doesnt look inside) and get my fix. Then I wipe off the drool and go back to the real world. |
