Hi All,
My answer to this question (that has been put to me by many others over the years I have been modelling now): I simply don't know.
And to be honest, I don't even want to know.
Like Paul says, it's a hobby, not a race and with that in mind I purposely never count the time spent on a model.
Most of the time I am kinda zigzagging between two to four kits at the same time doing some photo-etching when I feel like it or do some airbrushing on another one when I feel like that.
Exceptions to the rule are there of course; I recently finshed my Dragon PzIV-C in about two weeks. For me that's pretty fast but since it was my second Dragon "IV" it was a smooth ride knowing where the little loopholes and tricky bits were in advance.
On the other end of the scale is my Famo project that took around two years to finish.
Nearly the whole lot of the two Aber sets for the Famo went into the kit, lots of other small bits and pieces either from the sparesbox or scratch made took time to finish. Plus eight figures in and around the Famo pulling a disabled StuGIII-G took a fair bit of time too.
I admire fellow modellers who are able to concentrate on one project at the time and have this iron self discipline to stick to the one in hand before starting another project!
Happy Modelling
