I saw the thread about donating kits for our servicemen and servicewomen overseas, so...
I went through my collection this past weekend and asked the question: "Will I really build this kit in my remaining lifespan?"
The results were amazing---and cathartic...
I collected around 30 kits that I plan to send to John Gazzola in the next week or so. About 1/2 armor, the balance aircraft and a few ships. Some of the armor kits even have PE, resin and related goodies for some lucky modeler. And no, not many are "dog kits"--I'm sending some pretty good DML and AVF Club armor as well as Hasegawa aircraft kits...
I saved some kits like the Tamiya Centurion that I plan to convert to an Israeli Engineer Vehicle--I am a sick puppy, I know. I even kept an old Hummel for spare parts.
My two schillings worth-er, Euros now, I suppose.
