Subject:  How do you select your next project?List thread.

 Date:  May 26, 2007
 From:  Paul A. Owen
I was re-reading Jim Wechsler's current Blog on the Burma Sherman V again in preparation for a similar project and it occurred to me that I would have never thought of this project by myself. Which is interesting because I am fascinated in these tanks now and I wasn't last week... Jim's Blog got me interested.

Normally I am more "industry driven" in selecting projects. Which means I'll select usually a new kit to build mostly because I am interested in the manufacturer's design and new technology used in engineering of the model. I don't think this is entirely enjoyable since these projects usually only get half built.

I was wondering how people decide what their next project will be? Are you collection-driven, industry-driven, historically-driven, or inspired by other's models, etc.

Paul.

PS: Jim, how did you select the Burma Sherman V as a project?
