| Subject: | Quick review, Phebus creations kit #35DC003 - Water Tank | |
| Date: | Aug 13, 2001 |
| From: | Hassan Howard | |
I didn't know what to expect opening the box. But was I surprised. Phebus
Creations, a French resin company produces an excellent, and unusual diorama
accessory.
In nicely done gray resin, the kit build up to one of those old fashioned
water tanks you can see in most of the world. The kit has eleven parts,
cleanly cast, with nice detailing. You get a huge round tube of resin that
is the body of the water tank. The tank itself, sits on a stone and brick
rectangle. In scale size, the storage tank stand is about four feet tall.
The tank itself is another four feet. In between this, you get three resin,
"steel" supports. There is a small pipe, and a tiny wheel, that provides a
rudimentary spigot system.
This has many diorama potentials; troops at rest, sappers on a mission, a
water stop for those tired German horse [you do know that MOST of the German
army traveled by horse, don't you?]. An excellent addition to anyone's
collection. It goes together in a half hour, including cleanup.
Recommended. Available from Phebus Creations, at:

Priced at 145 French Francs.
I must comment on Phebus Creations. The entire ordering process was very
smooth. I got my kits in about six days. That is shipping from France to
Brooklyn, USA They responded to every e.mail I sent, and were caring and
courteous at every turn. Notification was sent when they shipped the kits.
Overall, EXCELLENT service. [Hello, other vendors who will go un-named. It
does not take that much to make a consumer happy.] |
