I sold mine off a year ago and got over $200 US for it. It was one I hoped never to part with but I needed the money.
Last second bidding is not the seller. They sell software that does this for you, I picked mine up on eBay. It is called sniper bidding and it is becoming more and more common on eBay. The only way to beat a sniper is to sniper a higher price. They also have web sites that for a price will sniper the bid for you.
If you think model prices are high, try bidding on eBay Germany for original WWII photos. I've paid over 300 euro for a photo and have seen others sniper photos up to 800 euro, too rich for me!
