Thanks for the question Paul, its comforting to see how others are doing in the same boat.

I work for the Fed (USA) as a computer operator (glorified data entry). The best part of that (definitely not the money) is I get to work from home, so no commute. However, did I mention not much money... so I am also starting a second career in financial services. This has taken up a LOT of my time trying to get up to speed and licensed. I just looked at my Gallery entries and realized I have not finished a project since January (and those were actually repairs).

In spite of the fact I don’t have to drive to work I find it hard to carve out time for modeling. Not counting the above mentioned second job, my wife gets very jealous of my modeling time. Her and the kids watch 4-6 hours of tv/movies each night, but for me to sneak out to my office to some modeling is just unforgivable!? Anyway, I keep trying because it is relaxing, and a finished project is such a feeling of accomplishment. I believe that’s THE biggest thing for me. There are so many things in life that either don’t get finished, or don’t come out like they should. Like my house. I built it myself (only way we could afford it) starting in 87, and its still not done….. starting painting the outside yesterday.

I would be happy as a clam with 1 hour per day to model.
