Thanks David, that's what I was going to say.

There has been too much negativity and outright nastiness recently. Not just in the thread you mentioned but in other threads too. This is not the type of thing that is common at this site, in fact it is extremely rare. I see it as a spillover effect from the behaviour that is accepted on other sites.

Look at it from my perspective, since I run this site for my own amusement, after a long day of working at the office I want to spend some time seeing what's going on, new models, photos, etc...the last thing I want to see are a bunch of squabbling losers bring everyone else down.

This kind of behaviour reduces overall participation, it makes me less interested so there is no new content added... etc.
