Subject:  No need to critisize.....List thread.

When I think of criticism I think of one word, "disapproval".
I would never critisize another modeler's work on a web site. Not even if I became a world class modeler would I ever critisize another person's work. The only time actual criticism is necessary would be as a judge for a show and it is only done then to seperate one model from another for the purpose of giving awards.
There are several posters on this site that usually do not say much except when they want to hammer someone for what they see as a fault with a model. There is one person that comes to mind that does this all the time and I think it's odd that he does this and yet does not have one model posted on this site. From what I have learned I don't think this person is even a modeler. I'll never accept criticism from someone that doesn't spend the hours and hours needed to put together a quality model
I really respect Mike Powers and he told me something I'll never forget. He said it isn't difficult to tell the difference between someone who cares and offers advice from someone who is a prick and simply wants to critisize your work. You simply have to pay no attention to the latter.
Friendly, tactful advice is great. Criticism should be left to the judges at shows.
