Yes, Yes, Yes, much to the annoyance of my wife over the years, when she looks at things in purely monetary terms.

I have found that over the years, from initially throwing away kits as a youngster, because they were too dificult or needed work beyond my capability; the Airfix C130 was one with its bent wings and body.Now its sometimes feeling that a mistake I have made is terminal, or general unhappiness at what you find in the box, as you get into the build; many items have been disposed of in a variety of ways over the past 40 years of enjoying this hobby.

On a number of projects that has included tossing them from a window, or a test flight across the room, to impact with a wall.

Sometimes, it brings a certain sense of satisfaction, when the clearing up of the bits has been completed.
