Brian Tears brings up some good points about the average person in life being self conscious with a real fear of drawing ridicule or critique upon themselves from any group for short comings in their education. It is bad enough from an individual let alone an entire (internet) community. I too am a poor student of English and the written word so when someone finds fault with my written words they cause me to stop writing which is the real danger in the two edged sword of the theme of this message.

I can fully appreciate the types of messages Paul was talking about as I have had to review a number of messages written to a professional society I belong to by people today who seem to have a great desire to abbreviate or create jargon. This is turning everything into a text message of acronyms instead of words that the rest of us use to understand the simple things of life with. Since I want my messages understood by all who read them hoping for a clear response to my query I compose my messages, as best I can, in Microsoft Word and run spell check which catches many grammatical errors and then paste the message to Track Link. That and re-reading the message twice before posting is my solution to making my point understood.

My two cents worth.
