The Tamiya Late tiger was just so far removed from its predecessors and reawakened a lot of dormant modellers.

A few other milestones in my Book

Gunze Multimedia kits of Panther initially - these pioneered the way for further advances

Tamiyas Dragon Wagon, A pure statement of how far the hobby had come and still improve. Tamiya showing DML what it was capable of

DML Initial Tiger 3 - 1 . This took kits to a new level as a full package with all the aftermarket built in. By far the most advanced plastic kit available when released. DML's reply to Tamiya

Tamiya Char B - Set new standards in engineering and unusually for Tamiya had workable tracks. Resparked an interest in French stuff.

DML M4A1 75mm - This kit added the missing link from Shermans to the market place (the early suspension) and proved the enduring poularity of the DML shermans. The worldwide demand for this kit when it became scarce proved that Shermans were as marketable as Big Kitties thereby opening the door for DML's better and Better Shermans

Cheers
