Dutch cops catch man tanked up
Police were questioning a man after finding a Centurion tank and an arsenal of weapons at
a boathouse in this small Dutch coastal town, a spokeswoman said.
A raid on the man's home uncovered more guns and "large amounts of ammunition," according
to a police statement. He was detained and charged with violating gun laws.
The man, who is 44 but was not further identified, is believed to have purchased the
weapons and tank for a private collection, not to stage an attack, said police spokeswoman
Esther Straathof.
She said the confiscated arms included large calibre automatic weapons and machine guns. |
