Several, well many, people have asked me to add a "comparison" review type to the reviews database. I don't want to do this because I can't see the point, why not just read the two separate reviews on the same subject from different manufacturers. Assuming the reviews exist.
How useful are comparison reviews, really? They are certainly interesting, but I don't think they are actually that useful. I don't find them particularly useful for two reasons:
1) I usually don't have all of the kits being compared.
2) It is best to compare to primary references such as photographs and trustworthy scale plans.
3) One kit is usually replacing an old one... so what's the point. Although some may see this as the entire point of the comparison, which is _interesting_ for sure, but isn't better to compare the new kit to primary references?
If I am missing something really important about "comparison" reviews then let me know.
Back to the original request...
To do a "comparison" review on this site: Write a review of each kit separately, add them to the Reviews section. Post a forum message comparing each kit with reference to the reviews, and with photos.
