Subject:  Milestone Events in Military ModellingList thread.

If one were to write a history of military modelling, that is tanks, figures, dioramas... the stuff on this site, then what would be some of the more notable milestones?

I guess the obvious ones would be the first kit in 1/35th scale from Tamiya. What kit and when was that exactly? Then the proliferation in that scale shortly after.

The first after-market photo-etched upgrades from .... On-the-Mark Models?

The proliferation of the after-market industry brought on by Verlinden who showed the way.

Recently the expansion of Chinese companies and subsequent resurgence into the hobby.

What other "milestones" are there?

Paul.
