simply because there is software out there that gathers these and sells them on CDs to spammers. The fear is not from you having it, but from unknown people getting access to it.
As a web site owner, I have been approached by these thieves (the ones who take email addresses off the web) and offered a CD with 1000 verified e-mail addresses for only $10USD.
As for the images, I thought there was a misunderstanding which could be explained. I sent a private e-mail to you but it failed.
