Hi Chad,

Yes Model Junction was very much in place during the time of your tour.

At that time there were three model shops in the town the others being Rodgers in St Johns Street and The Hobby Horse on Station Hill. Roders closed when the owners retired and Ther other burnt down in somewhat strange circumstances. Model Junction is now approaching their 25th anniversary and is a really friendly shop.

The Mildenhall model club is still going strong as they attend the MAFVA nationals at Duxford, although I miss the annual club show that sadly ceased after the increase in security after 9/11. I used to find that a really nice event to attend.

Cambridge MAFVA are still a good club to be a member of and welcomes visitors as well as new members.

Bury St Edmunds is changing, although you would still recognise it at the moment they are in the process of building a huge shopping mall, that is supposed to make shopping more fun, but looks to be in danger of destroying some of the older smallr businesses in the streets that run off the market square. Thats progress I suppose........

I am sure that you would still know many of the members of the Mildenhall club as some members settled here when they retired from the service.

I hope that life is still treating you well and am glad that you have happy memories of living in the UK.

Regards,

John
