Subject:  Re: Building a collection of WW2 tanks from all countriesList thread.

I have about a thousand ideas that I am "interested" in doing. Unfortunatly I am in the middle of a mental block that I just can't seem to overcome as far as building and completing kits. This idea is one of the many I have had.

As far as this idea it should be asked If you had the idea of countries with indigenous vehicle production, or like China using the German Pz I. If some one wanted indeginous production only that would preclude Australia (except for the Bob Semple tank), China,Canada, Finland, Hungary,Bulgaria,Romania,New Zeland, and no doubt others I can't think of right now. These countries engaged in quite extensive combat but used vehicles designed by other countries.

Also just in my opinion you would get two lists if you wanted the "most typical" and "best kit" as for several of these go in different directions.

Anyways heres my list.

Country: Most Typical: Best Kit:

This would be my list and it is subjective to my ideas of the concept. Another idea I have and am actually close to beginning (theres that word again) would be collections that show the progression of countries ideas of armor that go beyond WWII. Such as for
U.S. M3A1, M5A1, M4A3 75mm, M4A3E8, M26, M47,Tortise,M48,M60,M1

Germany Pz I, II, III, IV, Tiger I, Panther, Tiger II,Kanone, Leopard 1, Leopard 1A4, Leopard 2, Leopard 2A5

Russia BT 2,5,7,T 28,35, T-34, 34/85, KV 1,JS-1, 2, 3, T-54, 55.62,72,80,90.

Britain Mk IV male,Whippet, one or two of those little machinegun armed early WWII recon tanks, Covenanter,Crusader,Cromwell,Churchill,Comet,Centurion,Conqueror, Chieftain,Challenger.

I have always liked the idea of having something like one or two of these collections. The problem is that it would take me about 200 years at my current production rate to do even one of these.
