With the recent DML releases I really haven’t been spending too much since they include quite a bit of extras. Some of the kits have even been coming with turned aluminum barrels, a small fret of photo etch and a ton of extra pieces and of course the single track links.
But with other kits in the past I have been pretty frugal, I have probably spent as much as $200.00 for extra track, photo etch and other accessories books. Come to think of it I think the most current kit I can I am doing the extra expense on is the AFV IDF Shot Centurion that I plan on doing a blog on.
The most I have spent on a project that has yet to be built is my 1/72 Boeing 747 with a conversion to place the Revell 1/72 scale Shuttle on top. The kit itself was over a $150.00, then the conversion was another $ 30.00, a set of decals for the NASA current livery. Not to mention the 3 books I bought on the subject, hell the books alone almost cost as much as the kit! And still have some knickknacks that I am still buying to add to the build. I have probably spent close to $ 400.00 so far. But its going to look cool when its doneJ |
