 Subject:  Tamiya T-72List thread.

Hi:

No doubt it has to be a Finnish T-72 for which I've been gathering parts for years. Here's what's in:

Tamiya T-72
Dragon T-72 (for a few parts, notably fender lights/reflectors)
JS-Models corrected turret
JS-Models 125mm gun barrel
JS-Models Finnish stowage bin
CMD replacement roadwheels
WWII Productions tracks
ModelPoint brass antenna base
ModelPoint brass smoke dischargers
CMK photoetch/resin detail set
Eduard photoetched set
SKIF KMT-6M2 mine plow
Karaya tow cable

I'm still waiting for the Echelon Fine Details decals to be released, and then I hope that's it (unless I get a MAZ-537 to display the T-72 on!). And I still need styrene to make some corrections to the kit.

I can't really say how much I've paid for this, although I did get some good deals on various components. The retail value is probably in the $250 range (exclusive of references).

I don't usually count references towards a project, but I did pick up the WWP T-72 in Detail book specifically for this project. I also took a trip to visit a T-72, shoot some photographs, and make some measurements. And I'm still on the lookout for more info on these tanks.

Cheers,

Scott
