Most expensive...
I have been working on a project to build a diorama of a Panther factory floor for several years now.
I have invested hundreds of dollars in Panther tank kits and after-market goodies, such as resin engines, transmissions, interiors, etc.
I have purchased just about every available reference on the Panther tank at a cost of another several hundred dollars, including a soon to arrive copy of the new Panther Project book on the restoration of a Panther tank.
I have drawn up plans to build this in a modular fashion, including a rail loading operation with a train carrying several Panthers on flatcars. I haven't even begun to calculate how much sheet styrene and plastruct I will need to build items such as the hull-drilling machine and the turret race machining tool.
I easily have well over a thousand dollars invested in this project, with no real end in sight. |
