I used some of the same techniqe. I tried Revell putty and ordinary plastic
glue
and brushed it on with an old bush. Later I used a small screwdriver to make
the right Zimmerite pattern (Which I filed to the correct width). On a Tiger
there is a different style on the Hull and the turret. NB! let the mixture
dry a bit to avoid the surface to stick to the screwdriwer - and the whole
thing will become a mess!. If the surface gets too dry, or if I do any
mistakes I use a few drops of Acetone to make it more liquid again to start
over.
