Hi Tim
I use yellow ochre for highlights on OD every since I learned OD can be
mixed from yellow and black paint (try it, it works!!).
As far as accurate colors go, I have taken photos of some kits under
different lighting combinations, and looked at figures painted under
incandescent light in the light of day, and it's amazing how different
things look. I don't put a lot of faith in those who SWEAR they have the
right color. Light, weathering, age, the retina, and visual cortex mix
things up so much that we have lots of freedom in the colors we can use
to depict OD, German Pz Yellow, Russian Green, Field Grey etc.
Of course I'd still like to see that article to see what Steve Z has to
say...
