Dear fellow modelers

thanks for the very comitted discussion about this subject. I have to confess that I wanted to be a little bit provocative on purpose. My personal honest opinion about Academy: I liked building the M51 and the israeli variants of the M113. I love their US machine gun set, in my opinion one of the best accessory kits in plastic. I love their 1/72 vehicle series of which I have built most oft them. I hate all of their figure sets. And I have the Achilles in stock which I'm looking forward to build.

I guess Matt Roberts is right by saying that Academy produces easy to build kits for the non-expert average consumer at a good price/product ratio as long as you don't care for 100 percent accuracy. There's another interesting observation. In general Academy scores quite high on first look reviews, but then the tide turns and ends up in harsh and rude critisism.

. . . ok, now listen up, Academy folks. I tried to save your honor but you seem to be a hopeless case. I still insist that you cough up with the 1000 free models bribe for me. Don't let me wait!
