| Subject: | Re: Cleaning dust of built models | |

With this very problem in mind and having tried many different ways, I have recently bought the new Tamiya ModelBrush [anti-static] item 7407B. It was a reasonably expensive purchase at about £11 GBP, but thus far is absolutely superp. It consists of a metal shaft, which at one end has a flat, very soft mop, type brush, about 5cm in length and at the other end under a protective pen type cap is a very short brush that is still soft, but a little firmer if that does not sound too perverse.
The long brush, cleans larger areas and being very soft, is less likely to knock off any small items and the other is to clean recessed detail, panel lines etc. Another use is to remove sanding dust before adding varnish.
There was a Tamiya demo video of it picking up plastic chips and showing how they work , but then wipe off the filaments. If you follow the link you can see an example of the brush at one UK seller.

It really is excellent and not a gimmic as I first expected and I am happy to suggest it here as NOT being a rip off.
Regards,
