I do have some administrator 'powers' and I never participate in contests. However, I have actively sought sponsors and I think it was a great way to get people to come forth and share their knowledge and work.
It would be ludicrous to allow a sponsor who volunteers freely to walk away without the contest.
So, I hope there will be contests with the release of TL6. I am waiting for it as well as I plan to complete a few blogs online.
