That 1988 $20 dollar kit doesnt have the near ModelKasten like tracks, Aluminium turned barrel or much if any photo etch. So that $20 kit of 1988 still cost me in excess of $60 when I then had to buy MK tracks, JR barrel, and Aber/Eduard Photoetch. Something which I no longer spend my money on.
Tho for me, the biggest attraction of the 2008 kit, is it generally contains about 300-500 more parts than its counterpart and I enjoy the building the most. |
