It started in the late forties with Monogram kits...wood and plastic, then flying models, then after marriage and kids, plastics...airplanes.

Armor began when I was visiting our grandkids without an air compressor...no painting. So I couldn't build airplanes because you ahve to paint the insides before gluing together...or at least I do! Plus I found drawings of a Waffentrager at the Wings and Wheels contest in Springfield MA! I ahd always wanted to build a model of that tank! So I began building armor on the kitchen table where we were staying. That was eight years ago and several conversion and scratchbuilt armor models, all in my favorite 1/72 scale, I'm still doing it!

I really enjoy the finishing techniques I find in the armor modeling group. A real challenge.
