| I'v been watching his models for a week now. There was a T55 there for $1200, i dont think it sold because i kept tabs on it till the last day. It was the first of about 10 models he posted for sale, none of which sold, so far. Ten or even five years ago people would have chewed your arm off for one of Franco's models. In general Ebay is pretty dead as far as selling kits goes. I keep an eye on it most days and sell kits now and again, but the fall in the dollar and recession seem to have had an affect on sales. The prices people are looking for have risen with the Dollar's fall because most sellers are outside of the USA. Sellers who last year were looking for $140 are now asking for $200 to cover currency deflation. One other thing i think has affected sales is that most of the collectors have what they want by now and only go for subjects that are unusual such as converted kits or resin kits. |
