| Subject: | Some comments from YOKOTA | |
| Date: | May 30, 2008 |

Well, I think I should add some comments to this issue, as I am supposed to be one of those individuals whom some bloggers in MDFC are so keen to discredit.
First, I, Kazutaka YOKOTA, am a genuine, living person, and am not a false identity used by anybody, for ulterior motives or otherwise.
Second, I have nothing to do with Hobby Link Japan. I know HLJ is a reputable mail-order firm in Japan. But, I personally have not had any business with them, and have never met any HLJ employees, let alone their president, Mr. Scott Hards.
Third. Therefore, the statement made in MDFC that "the person who posts as YOKOTA is Scott from HLJ" is utterly untrue, as Mr. Scott Hards himself made it clear.
As some of you here may be aware, I have posted messages in TL, ML, PlanetArmor, and in other public forums in the last few years. I know some of my messages did not quite please certain people for whatever reasons, and I guess they may have led to MDFC's irrational hostility to me.
Slurring an individual in Internet forums with dirty words is, although unpleasant, one thing. But, conjuring a non-existent conspiracy theory, and associate it with innocent, actual individuals and parties, is beyond reasonable exercise of freedom of speech.
Besides, MDFC is intended to promote DML products to general public, or general AFV modellers? (I know MDFC is a members-only site, but, in theory, anyone can apply for a membership). Thus, it should be considered that announcements and messages made in MDFC are not just directed at a small circle of audience, but they are meant to be read by as many modelers as possible, as MDFC membership grows.
DML should know that spreading an unfounded conspiracy theory in such a forum is damaging, not to those who are named in the bogus conspiracy theory, but to DML’s own reputation.
