My thinking about the dmlusa crew's responsibility is that the "ego" of a few is wrecking the hard work Dragon are doing to recover from the Battle Barbie phase and Bugler wars.
DML is under the pump [as is everyone else] in all scales and the vilification of the opposition only destroys the hard work done. By this I mean that before the super-duper Tiger initial 3'n1, Dragon lost out to Trumpeter in the "super size me" war. DML's Karl was a poor excuse [simplistic] compared to Trumpeter and without the rail transportation looked a poor value item as well. Next was the K5 rail-guns and again DML provided a simplistic kit up against Trumpeter.
The Pkw IV/E fell flat on it's face with some VERY basic mistakes and despite the a box full of bits [I still cant re-pack a box I opened out so the lid closes flat] proved that forums like this cost them sales. I can't say that people who write books for a subsidiary of Dragon and are noted as technical advisor's on the boxes are outright responsible for the faults within but they are responsible when they vilified someone like Kazutaka and patronized the rest of us with crap like "if it looks like a duck, it's as good as a duck" and to me there is no way that sort of attitude is going to fly [why fill in seems and ejector pin marks if the duck story holds truth to the same people?].
Fault after fault is pointed out with DML's kits JUST LIKE IT IS FOR ANY OTHER MANUFACTURER but the thing most upsetting is the crew at dmlusa, and backed by others [moderators and reviewers], rants about those that note faults [to improve the kit at hand] and opposing rival manufacturers with belittlement.
Those dropping blown up, cropped images of CAD propaganda/marketing posters as "new" also run the risk of being tarred with the same brush as dmlusa/biased reviewers/book writers/expert advisers [some individuals incorporate all those hats at once] who are digging a very deep hole. They [poster croppers] can only be doing this for some sort of self gratification as there's no hardship in getting the CAD "art work" in the first place [my pet laugh is the "exclusive" CADs in the news sections being spruked :)].
