I save them. The markings and painting reference is helpful to keep, but the main reason I keep them is to help me organize my spares box. My spares boxes are unmanageable. If I need a part though, I can easily find a suitable finished kit's instructions and see if there were extra parts on the sprues from the sprue shots. Then the hunt begins!
Also, there is a part pack-rat, part sentiment component as to why I keep them, along with the box tops as well. I should toss those, as I never really go back to admire the box tops. |
