The amount of time varies. I once devoted several hours each day to building one model, from scratch, and it took four months. Like others who have written, most are worked off and on, moving from one model to another and then another and so forth.

I've spent all day just decaling the cockpit of an airplane...as my scratchbuilt tank looks on in disgust!

This I do know...it takes as long to paint and weather as it does to build.
